I am 18 or older

You must be 18+ on the date of application. (gov.uk Form AN)

I have held ILR / Settled Status for at least 12 months

For the 5-year standard route, ILR or EUSS Settled Status must have been granted at least 12 months before the application.

I have passed the Life in the UK test (75%+)

Official test, 18 out of 24 questions correct. Valid if passed on or after 1 October 2019.

I have B1 CEFR English evidence (or I am exempt)

Home Office approved B1 certificate, UK bachelor's/master's/PhD, or majority-English-speaking country passport are accepted.

I meet the good character requirement

All convictions, tax/debt issues, bankruptcy, fraud, etc. must be declared. Illegal entry to the UK is typically an automatic refusal.

I intend to continue living in the UK

Required only for the 5-year standard route. Not required for the spouse route.
